El momento de delegar

Un amigo empresario me comentaba el otro día: tengo problemas para delegar. Su empresa está en el punto en el que todo depende del fundador. Le mandé un whats con lo siguiente:

The delegating thing is difficult … here are my 5 cents to your problem:

1. Only the founder has real skin in the game, it is difficult to get the same performance of an employee
2. You ARE your company, you have all the skills and processes to make the machine work. There is nobody like you in that respect and you will not find her. Therefore you should target for someone who has some of the skills and perhaps in that field is actually better than you
3. You will see many mistakes made but you should resist the temptation of micro-managing so, think what you don’t like the most, where you maybe even suck but you are clear what the best outcome should be and go for the person who likes it and who can do it well. And don’t throw a bag of money at it. Go for the passion
